Yanchep is a northern beachside suburb of Perth that has a population of about 2500 people and adjoins the smaller coastal suburb of Two Rocks. Yanchep is less than 15 minutes from Joondalup, 40 minutes from the City and a stone's throw from the beach. Marmion Avenue now extends directly to Yanchep Beach Road.
Gifted with an abundance of natural and man made features including the beautiful Yanchep National Park, The Two Rocks Marina, Sun City Yacht Club, the renowned Sun City Golf Course and Country Club and the stunning crystal waters of the famous Yanchep Lagoon, the lifestyle at Capricorn will be nothing short of feeling like you are on holidays every day of the year.
We think it's simply the kind of place you'd rather be.
The name Yanchep is derived from 'yanget', an Aboriginal word used to describe the native flax or bullrush plants surrounding the wetlands in the area.
Most homes are separate houses and are owner-occupied, two-thirds of the population is aged under 40 years and 44 per cent of residents moved into the area during the past five years.
Yanchep is also home to a significant UK-born population, with up to a quarter of residents born in the UK or Ireland.
Yanchep has a primary school and a district high school, shops and all the other amenities found in an established community.
A bus service links the suburb to the Clarkson Train Station.
